The Big Bang Theory star Kevin Sussman is dreading the end of the sitcom for a completely unexpected reason.

Kevin Sussman, who portrayed the endearingly awkward Stuart Bloom in The Big Bang Theory is reportedly expected to return in the new spin-off being developed under the TV franchise. While he is not officially confirmed to return, he once couldn’t even imagine leaving the original show due to an unexpected reason.

The actor earlier reflected on the differences between working on a sitcom and a movie, sharing that the transitioning to the often more demanding schedules for the movies is something that he would find most dreading on the show’s cancelation.

Kevin Sussman Worried About the End of The Big Bang Theory Due to His Relaxed Schedule

Kevin Sussman, widely recognized for his role as Stuart Bloom in The Big Bang Theory, has had a diverse career in film and television, including roles like Mr. Lingk in Better Call Saul and appearances in movies such as Hitch and Sweet Home Alabama.

When asked about the biggest difference between working in a movie and a sitcom like The Big Bang Theory, the actor shared that the thing that he finds significantly different is the schedule.

“One thing is the schedule,” he said before further stating that if The Big Bang Theory was to ever end, he would find it seriously hard to go “back to a normal shooting schedule.” He told Indulgexpress,

I’m dreading the day that Big Bang… is over, because I don’t want to go back to a normal shooting schedule. We usually roll in around 10 am, and after a decade of that, I’m so spoiled.

During the interview, he also shared that similar to his character in the show, he has also worked at a comic book previously. “That’s just a coincidence,” he said. Recent reports are now suggesting that the actor is likely to return as Stuart Bloom alongside Brian Posehn and Lauren Lapkus in the new Big Bang Theory spin-off series.

Kevin Sussman And Lauren Lapkus to Reportedly Star in the New Big Bang Theory Spin-off

Kevin Sussman along with Lauren Lapkus and Brian Posehn could return for a new Big Bang Theory spin-off currently in development. Showrunner Chuck Lorre announced plans for this spin-off to the popular sitcom over a year ago, but details remained under wraps until now.

As per Deadline, the three actors have signed talent-holding deals with Warner Bros Television, the studio behind the original comedy series, with plans to feature in the proposed spin-off.

However, the series is still in its early development stages, awaiting the green light, as the script has yet to be finalized. Speculation about the untitled spin-off has been widespread, with fans eager to know which character or storyline it will focus on.

With the reported involvement of Sussman, Posehn, and Lapkus, it is now believed to be focused on Stuart Bloom and his comic store. Introduced in Season 2, Sussman portrayed the comic book store owner Stuart Bloom.

He became a series regular by Season 8 and was making about $50,000 per episode by the final season. Lapkus portrayed Denis, who was introduced as Stuart’s love interest Denise in the last two seasons of the show while Posehn appeared as Bert Kibbler, a geologist starting in Season 6 and returning as a recurring character in Season 10.
