Almost two years on from the show ending, Kaley Cuoco has revealed whether or not she’s still in touch with her The Big Bang Theory co-stars, including Jim Parsons (who played lovable, introverted nerd Sheldon Cooper) and Johnny Galecki (who played, well, a lovable, slightly-less-introverted nerd, Leonard Hofstadter – and Kaley’s on-screen love).
Thankfully, for fans of the sitcom, you’ll be relieved to hearn that the gang are still very much in touch and that there are still texts galore flying about all over the place, which is super cute.
“Everyone is really doing great. It’s wonderful to see, that’s what you hope for, right? You hope you want all your friends to be successful,” Kaley said during a recent interview with Metro, in which she also discussed her latest role in comedy-drama The Flight Attendant. “We had a unique experience for so long so to see everyone doing the things they want to be doing and successful… the texts are always happening.”
She also revealed that following her Golden Globes nomination for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series being announced, that Jim Parsons even dropped her a sweet note, wishing her luck and cheering her on.
“Jim had sent me a text the morning of the Globes because he saw a video I posted. He was like, ‘I just saw your video.’ His message was very cute,” Kaley continued, when talking about her former co-stars. “He was very excited. It’s just great for all of us because you hope that everyone’s not going to be pigeonholed and everyone from the show is doing the things they want to be doing. It really wonderful, I’m thrilled.”
Although in TV series land it hasn’t been all that long since the sitcom ended, Kaley also revealed that she definitely wouldn’t rule out the possibility of a TBBT reunion later down the line (*pause for cheering*). She also cited another very famous friendship-based show, set to reunite, as inspiration for how the format could play out: Friends.
“Big Bang just ended so I think we need to give it a little bit of a break,” she shared. “I look forward to a reunion. I hope that our cast would be down for that sometime in the future. I’m ready for that, anytime.”
