The Big Bang Theory captivated audiences throughout its decade-long run largely due to the characters’ close friendships with one another.
But now the show’s biggest star, Kaley Cuoco, has revealed she hasn’t spoken to her longtime cast mates since the show wrapped earlier this year.
The 33-year-old, who famously played Penny in the hit series, made the shock admission during a press tour this week, one month after the finale aired.
“You know what, I haven’t really talked to anyone,” she told assembled reporters about her post-show relationship with co-stars.
“This feels like a summer hiatus for us, so we all go off in our own directions. I think it’s going to hit us all more in September, when we would normally [start filming again].”
Despite the lack of contact, Kaley has been busy since filming wrapped and is preparing to voice Harley Quinn in an animated series based on the DC Comics character.
“I f***ing love it,” she said about the prospect of taking on a less family friendly role.
But while Kaley hasn’t had much contact with her longtime colleagues, ex-costar Jim Parsons’ experience has been a different one.
The actor, who played Sheldon for the 12 Big Bang seasons, told ET Online late last month the cast’s WhatsApp group chat is still going strong.
“We’re not talking about anything out of the ordinary yet!” he told the publication. “We’re still texting about stupid day-to-day stuff, and that’s another thing that will be interesting as time goes by.”
“It’s like anything else in life when you can’t imagine how it’s going to be until you get there.”
