Kaley Cuoco had to come clean during one confession by her co-star Johnny Galecki about a certain situation in his dressing room while filming!
Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki portrayed the iconic couple Leonard Hofstadter and Penny in the American sitcom The Big Bang Theory for almost 13 years throughout the run of the show.
Naturally, the sets of the show became like a second home to the cast and crew of the sitcom. Well, some secrets were best kept hidden until Stephen Colbert asked a private question and Kaley Cuoco couldn’t control her laughter.
Kaley Cuoco Was NOT Involved In It!
Portraying the roles of Leonard and Penny, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco had quite a fun time during the shoot of The Big Bang Theory. The two actors even dated in secret during the first few seasons of the show but it didn’t exactly end well.
However, the world loved Leonard and Penny since the two had quite an iconic chemistry between them. During the premiere of the series finale, the cast of The Big Bang Theory was busy doing interviews.
In an interview with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the show host asked a question. “Did anyone ever have s*x in their dressing room? Show of hands” asked Colbert.
As the cast erupted into laughter, Kaley Cuoco looked immediately at Johnny Galecki and stated “You must have”. What followed next was Johnny Galecki sheepishly raising his hand as the cast erupted into more laughter. Kaley Cuoco pointed out “And that did not include me, just FYI”.
Simon Helberg, who portrayed the role of Howard Wolowitz, joked that “We all used Johnny’s dressing room”. Well, steamy secrets or not, The Big Bang Theory was the reason for the success of several actors in Hollywood. None would be so grateful to the iconic sitcom than Kaley Cuoco.
Kaley Cuoco Learnt To Fall With Grace
It is often seen that trying to not laugh, while hundreds of people are laughing in a live studio, is not an easy job. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. faced similar problems but the mistakes that the cast made on the stage only made them more adorable and relatable.
During her breakthrough role, Kaley Cuoco was just 21 years old when she joined The Big Bang Theory. Naturally, Cuoco wanted perfectionism above all else. However, a talk with John Ritter changed her entire perspective.
In an interview with Access Hollywood, Cuoco revealed that Ritter gave her one piece of advice that she is still holding on to even after 20 years!
I remember when I would mess up in front of the audience, he’d go, ‘They love it! They love it! They love when you mess up.’ And I go, ‘What?’ He’d go, ‘Sometimes, I do it on purpose.’ I started watching him purposefully mess up and make these mistakes, and the audience would go crazy.
She further continued,
I’ve literally taken that with me for 20 years. He gave everyone what they wanted. He was the class clown. He never took himself too seriously, and I think we need to get a little bit back to that, not taking ourselves too seriously.
Well, the trick surely worked since people love the bloopers that are occasionally seen on the internet. From a rough start in The Big Bang Theory to finding a second family, Kaley Cuoco grew a lot as an actress.
The American sitcom received a rating of 8.1/10 on IMDB and a whopping 81% on Rotten Tomatoes. With 12 seasons to its name, The Big Bang Theory is available to stream on Max in the U.S.
