Kaleb Cooper reveals unsettling side effect of working with Jeremy Clarkson

Kaleb Cooper has revealed he lost a significant chunk of his hair after he started working with Jeremy Clarkson.

The farming contractor, 25, has been working with former Top Gear star Jeremy, 63, on his Diddly Squat estate in Oxfordshire over the past few years.

Their efforts have been captured by cameras for the Amazon Prime series.

Although the pair do largely get along, in the past Kaleb has spoken about the stress Jeremy has caused him when learning how to work the land.

He’s called him a ‘muppet’, said he ‘never listens’ and even shared his first impression of Jeremy was that he was a ‘flash git’.

Now Kaleb has revealed how working on the show had affected a very particular thing in his life.

‘Working with him I’ve lost 34.4 per cent of my hair,’ he declared during an appearance on Lorraine.

Laughing at Kaleb’s comment, host Christine Lampard didn’t miss her chance to ask about what had happened to his old perm haircut.

‘Well unfortunately, when we were filming series 2 of Clarkson’s Farm, we were filming the restaurant, which went extremely well, but as I had the perm I didn’t have time to dry it and it became so dry,’ he explained.

‘Therefore, it just started cracking off, so I had to change it and I went back to this cut to play it safe and hopefully have it grow back to have a perm again.’

Last year Kaleb admitted that he also had no clue who Jeremy was when they first met.

‘I resented Jeremy slightly the first time I met him but not because he had a farm- it was because he asked me to drive the tractor more slowly past his house so his cat could run around safely,’ he shared.

‘I ignored that because we were so busy. And to be honest, I didn’t know who he was. I didn’t have time to watch TV.

‘Sometimes the odd sports car would be delivered [for a motoring review] and I’d think, “Who’s this flash git then?”,’ he added when speaking to The Telegraph.

However, Kaleb said they’ve ‘become quite close now’ and he actually missed having Jeremy around when he travelled to Africa to film The Grand Tour.

He went on to label Jeremy a ‘father figure to me when it comes to understanding TV’.

‘I’ve learnt from the best there is and — I can’t believe I’m saying this — when he’s not ****ing me off, there is love there,’ he added.
