Jonathan Bailey Teases Bridgerton Season 4 Return: ‘I’ll Always Be Back’
Without a doubt, one of the most beloved couples to appear on Regency romance and cultural phenomenon Bridgerton is Viscount Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma. Played by Jonathan Bailey and Ashley Simone, the newlyweds made a brief appearance in the third season of the Netflix period drama, eventually moving in together in India.
To the disappointment of many fans, it appeared that neither actor would be returning for future seasons of Bridgerton. However, Bailey has confirmed that his character will appear in the upcoming season, albeit for a brief moment.

During a recent appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, the 36-year-old actor announced that fans can expect to see him once again as the Viscount.
He announced that he’ll be ‘reuniting with the family next week’. Production on the fourth season began in September of this year and is expected to continue for another eight months.
When asked by The Hollywood Reporter if he ever gets bored of Bridgerton, Bailey replied: “No. Oh, it changes every year — every two years. It’s great to be a part of it.” He also took the time to voice his support for upcoming new members of the cast, Luke Thompson and newly announced couple Yerin Ha — the main couple of the fourth season. “There’s room for new people to come in, and Luke and Yerin are going to be great. So I’ll always come back and say hello.”
Similarly, Bailey’s co-star Ashley also confirmed that she will be returning to the hit show. In an interview with Glamor UK, the actor stated: “I know I’ll be back, but that’s all I can say.”
While details about the couple’s return have yet to be revealed, it’s thought that viewers can expect to see their relationship continue, as well as their growing family. The main plot of Season 4 will revolve around Benedict (played by Thompson) and his love story with the mysterious ‘Lady in Silver’ maid, Sophie Baek (Ha). It’s an adaptation of Julia Quinn’s An Offer From A Gentleman, the third novel in the Bridgerton series.
However, we’ll soon see Bailey in the hit show Wicked, playing Fiero alongside Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.
