Another familiar face from The Big Bang Theory may be heading back to the franchise. John Ross Bowie has signed a talent holding deal with Warner Bros. Television that would see him reprise his fan-favorite role as Barry Kripke in a spinoff currently in development at Max.
If the project moves forward, Bowie would join previously announced cast members Brian Posehn, Lauren Lapkus, and Kevin Sussman — signaling a strong lineup of recognizable supporting characters from the original series.
The spinoff was first revealed in April 2023, though plot details remain tightly under wraps. The show has not yet received an official series order. Big Bang Theory co-creator Chuck Lorre is executive producing through Chuck Lorre Productions, alongside Bill Prady and Zak Penn, under Lorre’s ongoing deal with Warner Bros. Television.
