– The Golden Bachelorette star Joan Vassos gave one of her hometown dates to Charles “Chock” Chappell of Wichita, Kansas.
– Chock was previously identified as the man who went on Joan’s first one-on-one date in Disneyland.
– Kelsey Anderson’s dad, Mark, also might’ve received a hometown date from Joan.
The Golden Bachelorette star Joan Vassos is already filming her hometown dates, and one of the men who received one has been revealed. Joan, a 61-year-old private school administrator from Rockville, Maryland, is making history as the first-ever star of The Golden Bachelorette. She got her start on Gerry Turner’s Golden Bachelor season, during which she had a strong connection with him. However, she had to leave the show early in order to attend to a family emergency. Now Joan is ready to continue her journey to find love during The Golden Bachelorette season 1.
Joan gave one of her hometown dates to Charles “Chock” Chappell.
In an X post, Reality Steve revealed that Joan gave one of her hometown dates to Charles “Chock” Chappell.
Joan and Chock traveled to his hometown of Wichita, Kansas on July 14. Chock was previously identified as the man who received Joan’s first one-on-one date, which took place in Disneyland. On the Daily Roundup podcast, Reality Steve shared that he doesn’t know how many hometown dates Joan will have, or if Chock’s was her first one. During The Golden Bachelor, Gerry had three hometown dates instead of the usual four.
Does Kelsey Anderson’s Dad Mark Receive A Golden Bachelorette Hometown Date?
Mark Became A Fan Favorite During His Daughter’s Bachelor Season 28 Hometown Date
Reality Steve added that he has to assume that fan favorite Mark Anderson probably received a hometown date from Joan as well. It would be very exciting for Mark to receive a hometown date, considering that The Bachelor season 28’s Kelsey Anderson and Joey Graziadei would most likely make an appearance during it. It would be fun to see Mark on the other side of things after fans fell in love with him when he participated in Kelsey’s hometown date in Joey’s season. That’s never happened before in the history of the Bachelor franchise.
The Golden Bachelorette hometown dates will be very intriguing because they’ll involve Joan meeting her contestants’ children and grandchildren, rather than their parents. Reality Steve had already reported that Chock is 60 years old, and the owner of Insurance Services Group in Wichita, Kansas. He’s divorced and has children with his ex-wife. Chock has a tragic element to his backstory, as he was engaged to someone else for a couple of years, until last year, when she unexpectedly passed away due to brain cancer.
Chock seems like a great match for Joan, who lost her husband of 32 years, John, to pancreatic cancer in 2021. Both Chock and Joan have been through unimaginable losses, and they will most likely bond over their experiences with grief, just like Gerry and Theresa Nist did on The Golden Bachelor. The same is true of Mark, who lost his wife, Denise, to breast cancer in 2018. Hopefully, Joan found the next great love of her life in one of these men. She deserves to have her happily-ever-after.
