Joan and Chock Return to Disneyland: Revisiting the Place Where Their Love Began

Joan Vassos and her fiancé, Chock Chapple, recently revisited a place that holds deep sentimental value: Disneyland. The theme park is where the couple shared their first one-on-one date on The Golden Bachelorette, setting the stage for their blossoming romance.

The couple, both 61, shared joyful moments as they explored the park, posing for pictures with friends from The Golden Bachelor franchise, including Kathy Swarts, Susan Noles, and Nancy Hulkower. Joan took to Instagram to share her excitement, writing, “Had the most magical day with my friends & fiancé at Disneyland!! 💫. Thank you so much to the @iheartradio team and @sugarmanamy for making it so magical! Shout out to our tour guide Jeff for being the best ever! 🫶 It was so nice to go back to the place where I first fell in love with Chock and get to share that experience with my friends. Next up… @iheartjingleball !!”

Joan and Chock also shared a heartfelt video in which Joan reflected on their journey, saying, “This is where we had our first date ever, and it’s actually where I fell in love with Chock.” She captioned the clip, “Back where it all began…”

The Significance of Their Disney Date

In a cover story for Us Weekly published on November 20, Joan opened up about the connection she felt during their Disneyland date, which occurred just one week into the season. “We had such a great connection on the Disneyland date. It was super early, and I did feel like it was too good to be true,” she said. Despite anticipating a red flag, Joan admitted that none ever came. “I was actually really looking for that, but it only ever got better instead of worse,” she added. By the end of the season, Joan felt confident that she was making the right choice, knowing they had gotten to know each other deeply.

New Beginnings and Future Plans

Since the November finale, Joan and Chock have spent Thanksgiving together, celebrating with their families in Maryland. “First Thanksgiving in Maryland with the Vassos crew and Chapple kids,” they wrote in an Instagram post on December 2. “So much to be thankful for — family, laughter, and the start of new traditions.”

Looking ahead, Joan and Chock are planning their next big step: finding an apartment in New York City. They also intend to spend time in their respective home states of Maryland and Kansas, continuing to build their life together.

Joan and Chock’s journey is a testament to the possibility of love blooming in unexpected places, and their return to Disneyland was a beautiful reminder of how it all started. Fans are eagerly watching as the couple embraces their future together.
