Jim Parsons recently shared his heartfelt thoughts on his former The Big Bang Theory co-star Kaley Cuoco’s exciting pregnancy announcement. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 49-year-old actor expressed his confidence that Cuoco will be an exceptional mother.
“She’s gonna be incredible,” Parsons said on November 29. “She’s a comforting presence, and it was a pleasure to work with her day in and day out.” He continued, “She’s a very warm person, and I think that child is lucky to have her for a mother.”
Parsons and Cuoco, 37, starred together on the iconic CBS sitcom from 2007 to 2019, alongside a talented cast that included Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik, and Melissa Rauch.
In October, Cuoco took to social media to announce that she and her partner Tom Pelphrey are expecting a baby girl in 2023. “Baby girl Pelphrey coming 2023. beyond blessed and over the moon … I love you @tommypelphrey!!!” she wrote, sharing several photos with her partner.
Pelphrey, 40, also celebrated the announcement on social media, writing, “And it was even MORE BETTER. Love you more than ever @kaleycuoco.” The couple went public with their relationship in May, just a month before Cuoco finalized her divorce from Karl Cook. Cuoco and Cook, who were married for three years, announced their split in September 2021.
In a heartfelt Instagram post marking their relationship debut, Pelphrey shared, “Nothing can save you. And you stand in the moonlight and a sweetness comes off the top of the trees, and the fence around the yard seals you off from the dark and you can’t breathe. It is all so familiar and possible. It is too simple that there is this much good in the world and you don’t know how to have it.”
An insider shared with Us Weekly that the couple is reveling in their joy as they prepare for their child’s arrival. “Kaley and Tom are deliriously happy right now; they’re living out this real-life fairy tale, and it just keeps on getting better and better,” the source revealed. “As cheesy as it sounds, Kaley says that from the moment they met, there was a connection and synergy that was so special, almost magical.”
According to the source, Cuoco is thrilled about her future with Pelphrey. “She knew she wanted to be with this guy, and he’s said from the get-go that it’s the real deal. He’s head over heels in love with Kaley and is happy to give it everything he’s got,” the insider added.
Pelphrey also expressed his excitement about the upcoming milestone. Speaking with Extra, he said, “We’re so excited. It’s the most incredible thing. We feel very blessed, very fortunate [and] very lucky. Everybody’s healthy. It’s a beautiful thing.”
As Cuoco prepares to embark on this new chapter of motherhood, Parsons’ warm words reflect the supportive bond that remains among the Big Bang Theory cast.
