Mayim Bialik has worn many hats over the years, from actress to neuroscientist. However, many fans still remember her hosting duties on Jeopardy! from 2021 to 2023. Since then, the star has opened up on whether or not she’s up for hosting another game show.
Mayim Bialik Was Promoting A Recent Appearance On Night Court
As an actress, Bialik is known for a variety of roles, from series like Blossom to The Big Bang Theory. The latter proved rather fitting for Bialik, as she has a doctorate in neuroscience.
Bialik also notably served as a guest host on Jeopardy!, first starting in 2021. During her time on the game show, she would often alternate with Ken Jennings. Bialik would leave the show by 2023, with Jennings becoming the show’s permanent host.
Recently, as noted by The Blast, Bialik talked about her time on the show while promoting a guest appearance on Night Court. As previously reported, Bialik’s appearance on the latter show reunited her with her former Big Bang Theory co-star Melissa Rauch.
With the reunion, nostalgia was in the air during the interview. Bialik was notably asked about her time on Jeopardy! and if she would be interested in hosting another game show.
Bialik looked fondly on her time as a Jeopardy! host. As she noted, “The time that I had on Jeopardy! was so sacred and so special.” She also noted, “I have such tremendous respect for our writers — obviously, my support of the writers strike showed that.”
The Actress Noted Fans Know Her For All Sorts Of Different Things
Bialik hinted at having bittersweet feelings over her time on the show. As she noted, “So for me, that was a really special opportunity to be part of such an iconic show, and such an iconic piece of game show history. I feel very satisfied with my time there and miss it a lot. I loved being there.”
Bialik also noted that fans remember her for all sorts of roles she’s taken on over the years. She noted, “It depends on how old they are what they’re interested in, if it’s Blossom or Big Bang Theory. A lot of people come up to me about my podcast because it’s about mental health, and a lot of people say that really helped, so people come up to me for all sorts of reasons.”
During the conversation, the actress also talked about her Night Court appearance, where she played a version of herself. As she noted, “I like when celebrities poke fun at themselves. There’s so much, especially in this culture, about the veil of perfection and things like that about celebrities, so I love when that gets lifted as a viewer.”
“I was happy to be on the other side of that and be like, ‘What if I don’t care what people think of how kooky or silly this is, and just have a good time?’ That was really fun.”
