Jensen Ackles is returning to the small screen soon. Ackles will appear again in the upcoming second season of Tracker.
Ackles fans are looking forward to Season 2 of Tracker. During a TVLine Q&A, an Ackles fan asked, “I’m so excited about Jensen Ackles’ return to Tracker and Jared Padalecki’s move to Fire Country! I’ve been a fan of both of these guys for a very, very long time! Do you know when they’ll be appearing on CBS?”
TVLine responded, “Ackles is expected to make his second appearance on Tracker in the second episode of Season 2 while Padalecki was recently seen on the set of Fire Country, suggesting his debut as SoCal firefighter Camden Casey won’t be too far into Season 3.”
Tracker Brings Jensen Ackles Back for Season 2 Tracker, created by Ben H. Winters and starring Justin Hartley, is a drama about a survivor who helps law enforcement. Based on Herrefert Deaver’s The New Game, Ackles plays Colter Shaw’s brother, Russell Shaw. Ackles will reportedly have a more substantial presence in Season 2. “I’ve worked with Jensen before, and Justin’s friends with him,” showrunner Elwood Reid told TheWrap of Ackles’ expanded role in Season 2. “It’s like family—when we text him [he says], ‘tell me where and when,’ and he shows up.” Tracker star Justin Hartley continued to tease Ackles’ return, “We’ve got him, he’ll be back. We’re having fun with it, it’s a great story.”
Ackles and Padalecki star on Supernatural as Sam and Dean Winchester. Although they won’t be working together, Padalecki will appear in the upcoming season of Fire Country and, according to showrunner Tia Napolitano, will “flip the script.”
