Jealousy Heats Up as Chock Makes Bold Moves on Final Group Date of ‘The Golden Bachelorette’

Joan Vassos’ journey for love on The Golden Bachelorette is entering its final stages, and tensions are running high as jealousy begins to surface among her suitors.

In an exclusive clip shared by TheWrap, Vassos and her remaining contenders head to a bowling alley for what will be the last group date of the season. With beer, snacks, and matching bowling shirts, the mood may seem lighthearted, but one suitor, Chock, has his eyes set on making the most of this opportunity.

For most of the men, the date is about fun and friendly competition. But while they try to rack up strikes, Chock seizes the moment to get closer to Vassos, sneaking in some one-on-one time.

“I’m really looking forward to just spending some time with Joan,” Chock says in the clip as he cozies up to Vassos on the sidelines. “I’m not worried about what the other guys are doing or thinking—I’m just focused on Joan and myself.”

His focus doesn’t go unnoticed by the other suitors. Guy, another contestant, comments on Chock’s strategic seating arrangement: “He positioned himself well, sitting right next to her.” Jonathan, another suitor, also shares his frustration, saying, “It was right in your face—Chock and Joan together like a couple.”

Chock’s return to the show adds another layer to the tension. In the previous week, he briefly left the competition due to a family emergency—his mother’s passing. After winning the group date rose in a Chippendales-themed performance during Episode 4, Chock informed the group of his loss and left to be with his family. Vassos, who had also once left The Golden Bachelor to care for her daughter, empathized with Chock’s situation and hoped for his return. Her wish came true when he showed up just in time for the cocktail party, reigniting the connection between them.

As the season draws closer to an end, the stakes are higher, and emotions are more intense. Will Chock’s bold moves pay off, or will his actions stir up deeper resentment among the other men?

The Golden Bachelorette airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, with new episodes streaming the following day on Hulu.
