Jack was cut from ‘The Golden Bachelorette’ during episode 2, but that’s further than his ex-wife initially wanted him to get. Lencioni says she didn’t wnat him to appear on the show at all, at first.
Jack Lencioni didn’t receive a rose at the end of episode 2 of The Golden Bachelorette. His elimination upset fans who thought Lencioni brought a little bit of fun to the mansion. While the caterer didn’t make it particularly far into the competition, he doesn’t regret going on the show. Lencioni signed up for the series despite his ex-wife and daughters’ objections.
Jack Lencioni’s family didn’t support his ‘The Golden Bachelorette’ journey initially
Jack Lencioni didn’t hold back during his short-lived appearance on The Golden Bachelorette. Now that he’s been eliminated, he’s free to discuss his experience. His first sitdown chat was with Nick Viall for the acclaimed podcast The Viall Files.
During his chat with Viall, Lencioni revealed that he wouldn’t have appeared on the show if his ex-wife and daughters had it their way. Lencioni revealed that his ex-wife didn’t want him to go on the dating competition because she feared he would say something bad about their marriage or divorce. Lencioni said his ex was certain he would “say something stupid.” Lencioni admitted he had a habit of saying stupid things.
Now that they’ve seen the show, he insists, they are happy he did take a shot at finding love again. Everyone is happy. Lencioni’s ex was clearly wrong. He didn’t say anything “stupid” during his brief stint in the competition.
Why did Jack Lencioni and his ex-wife break up?
Lencioni and his ex-wife might not have worked out romantically, but the former couple are clearly still on speaking terms. At the very least, they are comfortable enough with each other to voice their opinions about life choices. So, why did Lencioni and his ex split up?
The Golden Bachelorette contestant didn’t reveal the reasons behind the breakup, but he did tell Viall that he still feels strongly for the woman he shared his life with. He quipped that his ex-wife is a “wonderful woman;” she just wasn’t the woman for him. Clearly, the former flames must have seen something in each other; they were married for 25 years.
While Lencioni didn’t find his next great love in Joan Vassos, he seems happy with his experience. He certainly seemed to have more fun than anyone else on the show for the two weeks that he did appear. There is surely someone perfect for him somewhere.
The competition will continue next week with just 14 competitors. Along with Lencioni, Bob Kilroy, Michael Stevens, and Christopher Stallworth were eliminated during week two.
