“It’s Not Over”: NCIS: LA Comeback Rumors md14

For Chris O’Donnell, signing on to 9-1-1: Nashville wasn’t just another acting job—it arrived at a deeply emotional moment. Just weeks earlier, wildfires had devastated the Pacific Palisades, the community he calls home.

Although O’Donnell’s house was among the few spared, thousands of homes around him were destroyed. “We feel incredibly fortunate,” he says, crediting first responders who fought tirelessly to protect lives and neighborhoods.

That experience gave new meaning to his role as firefighter Don Hart on the ABC spinoff. Training alongside real firefighters only deepened his admiration. “It’s unbelievable what they carry, what they know, and what they endure,” he says. “They’re like doctors—just in a different kind of emergency.”

For O’Donnell, 9-1-1: Nashville became more than a series. It became a tribute to the people who show up when everything else is burning down.
