Former “The Big Bang Theory” star Kunal Nayyar says he uses his wealth to quietly help strangers in need.
During an interview with The i Paper, the actor revealed that he frequently visits GoFundMe and anonymously pays off medical bills for random families.
Nayyar, whose net worth is estimated at $45 million, said financial success has allowed him to focus on giving back.
“Money has given me greater freedom,” he explained. “The greatest gift is the ability to change people’s lives.”
The actor became globally known for playing Raj Koothrappali throughout the sitcom’s 12-season run from 2007 to 2019. At the height of the show’s success, its stars reportedly earned $1 million per episode, and Forbes ranked Nayyar among the world’s top-earning TV actors in 2015 and 2018.
In addition to helping families with medical costs, Nayyar and his wife also support animal charities, particularly organizations that help dogs.
