Kunal Nayyar who plays Rajesh Ramayan “Raj” Koothrappali on The Big Bang Theory has revealed the 10th season of the series might be its last.
“Next season, as it stands on our contract, could be the last season of Big Bang Theory,” the actor said at MCM Comic-Con London.
“To be completely honest … I know people are gonna want to know what happens after season 10. I don’t know what’s going to happen.”
The show, which stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik is one of the highest rating sitcoms in America.
It has also proven to be such a success that each main cast member earns $US1 million per episode.
Despite Nayyar speculating the 10th season may be its last, The Big Bang Theory’s co-creator, Chuck Lorre, disagrees.
“I’m not going to presume to know how many years this has because it’s ridiculous for me to guess,” he said.
“It’s already gone beyond my wildest dreams so anything beyond this … as long as everybody is having a good time and we’re making a show we’re proud of … then it’s worth continuing.’
