Is Sofia Pernas Likely to Return to Her Role on ‘Tracker’? What Have You Both Said About It?

Justin Hartley and Sofia Pernas reunited onscreen for an episode of CBS’ Tracker — and That’s Just the Beginning.

Tracker, which premieres in February 2024, centers on a survivalist named Colter (Hartley) who travels the country helping people and law enforcement solve various mysteries. As the series unfolds, viewers will learn more about how Colter’s past shapes his present life as a lone wolf who prefers to isolate himself from others.

The adaptation of Jeffery Deaver’s novel The Never Game has Hartley starring and executive producing the show alongside This Is Us producer and director Ken Olin.

Pernas first appeared in March 2024 as Billie, Colter’s ex who previously conned him out of a reward.

Every Time Justin Hartley and Wife Sofia Pernas Shared the Screen: From ‘Quantum Leap’ to ‘Tracker’ “I love this role. I love everything about it. I’ve always loved playing strong women, and I think those roles find me, to be honest,” Pernas told People at the time. “I’ve never played a cheerleader. I don’t know why. I really wanted to, but I didn’t think I could do it.”

Pernas continued to share how she worked with Hartley on their characters’ relationship.

“We didn’t really have a script for kissing,” she explained to Entertainment Tonight that same month. “We did some test moments where I was like, are they kissing in this moment? Just because there’s so much history, so much tension, and there’s some sort of life-threatening event that happened right before, it’s all this pent-up pressure.”

Colter and Billie’s reunion exudes chemistry, but the fictional couple ultimately doesn’t work out. However, Pernas doesn’t rule out the possibility that Colter and Billie could cross paths again in the future.

“I think she’s depressed because she’s hurt, and I think if she had dinner with him, she would have to address the pink elephant in the room inside herself and be like, ‘Oh my gosh, I really like this guy,'” Pernas noted to People. “I think she’s someone who probably doesn’t like to talk about her feelings as easily as she talks about other things.”

Before Pernas appeared on Tracker, Hartley discussed the thought process behind bringing his wife onto the show.

“Yeah, Sofia is in episode six. She’s a blast from the past. Colter had a relationship with her, and they used to run a bounty business together. And then she sold him down the river. It wasn’t great,” Hartley detailed to The Hollywood Reporter in February 2024. “There’s a rift in their relationship, and she comes back into his life for some reason, and they’re forced to work together in a way to achieve a common goal.”

Hartley hinted that Billie won’t be just a regular guest star, adding, “When you get to episode six, you see this is way out of Colter’s comfort zone. There’s obviously an attraction there, but something happened that’s very sad.”

Justin Hartley’s In-Depth Quotes About ‘Tracker’: From Stunts to Potential Love Interests Pernas said her appearance on Tracker “opened a little door” for a potential sequel.

“I love her. She’s a great character. She tries to hide a lot because, obviously, she’s very vulnerable,” she told ET. “I think that’s what’s great, watching both of them play. Obviously he’s very confident and commanding and strong when he walks into a room, but I think, because of their history and everything that’s going on, it’s great to see that peephole in vulnerability.”

“I don’t think there’s room in Colter’s life for it to be a recurring thing because they’re always in completely different places,” Pernas noted to Parade in March 2024. “But I think [Billie] just pops in and out of his life and upsets a few people, or maybe not, on the way out. That’s the beauty of this whole thing.”
