What happened to Maggie on FBI?

Maggie found herself in another dangerous situation in season 6, episode 10 of FBI.

According to TV Line, she was shot during the episode, with her Kevlar vest saving her life.

“It was a close call,” Maggie’s partner, Special Agent Omar Adom “OA” Zidan — played by actor Zeeko Zaki — said.

Too close. An inch down or to the left and I would’ve… It would have been over,” Maggie responded.

Maggie then talked about her fears about Ella, whose mother, Special Agent Jessica Blake — played by actress Charlotte Sullivan — died during surgery in season 6, episode 6, titled Unforeseen, per Soaps.com.

Before her death, Jessica asked Maggie to be the guardian of her daughter in case she did not make it through the operation.

Per TV Line, Maggie continued, “I worry about Ella. I mean, how can I not? If something were to happen to me, that poor girl would have to start over? Again? She needs me.”

OA later spoke with Special Agent Isobel Castille, played by actress Alana de la Garza.

“I think today really shocked [Maggie]. Is there any way that you could, I don’t know, demand that she take some time off…? I just know she’s never going to ask for it,” he said.

“Yeah, I can. Is that what you feel needs to happen…?” Isobel responded.

“Yeah. I do. She almost made that little girl an orphan all over ag[a]in. So, yes,” OA said.

Rumors previously spread that Missy will be leaving FBI after season 6, episode 6, titled Unforeseen, per Soaps.com.

In the episode — which aired on March 26, 2024 — viewers saw the death of Maggie’s friend, Jessica.

“The storyline leads fans to wonder if the FBI was setting up Maggie to leave the series and retire from field work for good to focus on being a mother,” the outlet stated.

What are fans saying?

According to Soaps.com, “fans are convinced” that Maggie’s new storyline will “lead her to retire from the field and hang up her badge for good.”

Some have taken to TV Line to express their thoughts.

“I hope Maggie will continue to be a character on the FBI show,” one fan wrote.

“I don’t think Maggie will leave. Missy just took off a year to have a baby. The very popular Shantel van Santen took over for the season. She’s now a regular on Most Wanted. If Maggie was going to leave so soon after she returned, they probably would have just kept van Santen in the role,” another commented.

“Without Missy FBI would not be the same. I don’t think CBS would have renewed the series for three more years. Surely she is not leaving the series!” a third said.
