He announced this during the 2024 Television Association Summer Press Tour in Pasadena, California.

According to People, Hartley said, “We’ve got him, he’s coming back,” adding, “We’re having fun with it. It’s a great story.” In the first season of the series, Ackles guest-starred as Hartley’s estranged brother. It’s unclear how many episodes of Tracker the Boys actor will appear in. When asked about it, The Noel Diary actor reportedly said he didn’t know. Showrunner Elwood Reid shared that Ackles will appear in more than one episode in the upcoming season. The showrunner added, “It’s like family: when we text him (he says), ‘Tell me where and when,’ and he shows up.” Reid continued, “That’s just the kind of guy he is.”

In addition to Ackles, another cast member has been confirmed to return for the next season, and she is none other than Manifest’s Melissa Roxburgh, according to TVLine.

For those unfamiliar, the premise of the show Tracker revolves around a skilled tracker and seasoned survivor who uses his abilities to aid both law enforcement and the public while navigating his complicated personal life.

The Devour actor’s performance as Soldier Boy in season three of The Boys Show was a fan favorite. Anticipation for his return in the fifth and final season is high.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, the Prime Video show’s creator Eric Kripke told the outlet that the old TV “adage” is that you should never kill anyone unless absolutely necessary. He added that one should never close a door, “open a window.”

Kripke added that everyone will have to wait and see, but he can’t imagine the series ending without Soldier Boy making another appearance on the show. The Boys season three can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
