Claire (Hayley Erin) on The Young and the Restless has made a couple of bold decisions recently.
One was dumping Kyle (Michael Melaor). The other was agreeing to join Holden (Nathan Owens) in Los Angeles.
It’s her latter choice that brings up the question of whether Claire is leaving the hit CBS soap or not. After all, Genoa City is the heart of Y&R.
Neither The Young and the Restless nor Erin has said anything about Claire exiting the canvas. Claire’s opting to get out of Genoa City with Holden appears to be a dedicated storyline.
Executive producer Josh Griffith revealed in his fall tease with TV Insider that a change is coming for Claire because of her growing relationship with Holden. Claire finds herself channeling a wilder side thanks to Holden and his edgy ways.
The daytime drama is kicking off a new storyline in Los Angeles that introduces several new characters and an old one. As Parade reported, Tamara Braun revealed she is playing Sienna Bacall, a Los Angeles club owner.
On a recent episode of Y&R, Nick (Joshua Morrow) revealed that he and Sharon (Sharon Case) are heading to help their son, Noah (Lucas Adams), as he opens a new club there.
Now that Holden and Claire are headed to La La Land, they will no doubt be part of this storyline, especially as Holden’s shady past comes to light. Someone else being thrown into the LA drama is a mystery character played by soap icon Roger Howarth.
Claire may be done with Kyle, but she’s not done with The Young and the Restless. Instead, she’s taking a risk in a new storyline with some heavy hitters.
