India Amarteifio Signs With UTA (EXCLUSIVE)

UTA has signed rising global star India Amarteifio for representation.

In 2023, Amarteifio starred in the eight-part Netflix series “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story,” written and produced by Shonda Rhimes. Amarteifio took on the titular role of the young Queen Charlotte (portrayed by Golda Rosheuvel in her later years) as the famous monarch rose to power and married King George III. The series became the top limited series globally for several consecutive weeks and made Netflix’s most popular titles of all-time list.

Also in 2023, Amarteifio was honored on Variety’s 10 Brits to Watch, named a Bright Young Thing by Tatler U.K. and was an honoree at the Glamor Women of the Year awards in Spain as the Voice of the Next Generation.

Amarteifio was recently awarded best actress at the NAACP Image Awards in L.A., where “Queen Charlotte” was also honored for best drama.

As a child actor on the stage in London’s West End, Amarteifio played Violet Beauregarde in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The Musical,” as well as Hortensia in “Matilda the Musical” and Nala in “The Lion King.”

TV appearances include “Doctor Who” and “The Interceptor.” In 2017, Amarteifio played the role of Sophie in the popular BBC series “The Line of Duty” opposite Thandiwe Newton.

Other credits include “The Tunnel,” “The Midwich Cuckoos” and “Sex Education.” Amarteifio made her feature film debut in the 2019 comedy-drama “Military Wives” alongside Kristen Scott Thomas.

Amarteifio continues to be repped by Tapestry London for PR and Hamilton Hodell in the U.K.
