I Think Pascal Ibgui Will Be A Part Of The Golden Bachelor (In A Surprising Role Outside Of The Lead)

I believe The Golden Bachelorette breakout star Pascal Ibgui will be a part of The Golden Bachelor season 2, but in a surprising role outside the lead. Pascal, 69, is originally from France, but has spent the better part of his life in Chicago, Illinois. Pascal was obviously enchanted when he met Golden Bachelorette lead, Joan Vassos, and the feelings were returned. During the season, Joan whisked Pascal away on an overnight date to Las Vegas, where they chose elegant outfits and had an intimate dinner. Pascal landed in Joan’s final four choices, and she got a glimpse into his life in Chicago.

Pascal introduced Joan to his three children, who all highly praised their dad and were on board with him pursuing Joan. Joan got to experience hair salon owner Pascal’s business side, and met his staff, who also adore him. Joan’s main concern with Pascal was that he had a wall up, and she feared that she couldn’t break it down. Pascal went to Tahiti for the final dates, and Joan’s fears were realized when Pascal self-eliminated from the competition after citing he had more self-growth to do before he could be in a relationship.

Pascal Learned A Lot About Himself
But He Had To Break Joan’s Heart

Bachelor Nation’s Pascal has not been in front of The Golden Bachelorette fans for several months now, and I miss him. Season 1 was filmed in July, and Pascal has had plenty of time to do some growing. While he did break Joan’s heart, and his own in the process, I think Pascal did some major personal development in front of my eyes, and that bodes well for how he has come along since then. I watched Pascal learn that he is lovable, and also that he has insecurities over opening up.

However, I feel The Golden Bachelorette gave Pascal a platform to be more self-aware. Launching into his new celebrity life since the show coupled with having a chance to watch himself back can only be a positive for Pascal. While I feel like he’s had time to become to the man he wants to be in his next relationship, I know he needs even more time to be fully ready for that chapter. That’s why I don’t think he would be a good lead choice for The Golden Bachelor season 2.

Pascal Is Popular Among Golden Bachelorette Fans
Pascal Charmed Golden Fans

Pascal was unapologetically himself throughout The Golden Bachelorette experience, and myself and fans loved him for that. Pascal is admittedly boujee, but had a penchant for fun and being relatable at the same time. Chock Chapple, Joan’s winner and now-fiance, is not a fan favorite, and Pascal called him out for having “stalker” tendencies while he was courting Joan. Pascal apologized for the comparison later, but he said what I was thinking, and it earned him even more credit.

Having Pascal and his harsh takes and jovial and serious when he needs to be personality in Bachelor Nation again would make me happy.

Pascal Could Be A Mentor In The Golden Bachelor
Pascal Is Opinionated

Given Pascal’s growth journey on The Golden Bachelorette, I think he would fit into The Golden Bachelor season 2 in more of a mentor way. Since the next Golden Bachelor will be among Pascal’s season of contestants, and he was well-liked, Pascal could arrive in an episode to provide understanding and advice for whoever the lead choice is. Pascal has strong opinions, and he isn’t afraid to voice them, which good reality TV, and could prove helpful to the next lead.

Who Will Be The Next Golden Bachelor?
An Announcement Is Impending

Pascal still has work to do on himself, which is why I don’t think he will be appointed the next Golden Bachelor. The lead role requires the person to be totally open and unreserved when it comes to dating, something I don’t feel Pascal can do at this point. The obvious lead choice for The Golden Bachelor season 2 would be Charles Ling, who was the fan favorite of The Golden Bachelorette. Mark Anderson, The Bachelor 28 winner Kelsey Anderson’s dad, is already in a new relationship, and Guy Gansert, Joan’s runner-up, has a shady history that fans would question.
