The NCIS star and The House Bunny actress have been married since 2012
CIS: LA star Eric Christian Olsen has been happily married to his wife Sarah Wright Olsen for almost 13 years, and the pair have a growing family.
On June 23 2025 the pair will celebrate 13 years married but it comes as they are also expanding their family, as Sarah is expecting their fourth child.
Sarah is an actress herself as well, previously starring in hit movies like The House Bunny with Anna Faris – in which she played a sorority mean girl – and 2017’s American Made, in which she starred opposite Tom Cruise. She is also a podcast host, presenting The Mother Daze with best friend Teresa Palmer.
Eric and Sarah met thanks to their careers as in 2006 they were both appearing on Fox’s sitcom The Loop, which ran for two seasons until 2007.
Eric and Sarah’s idyllic wedding
After dating for five years, the two got engaged during a vacation in Mexico in 2011, later tying the knot in 2012 in Wyoming’s idyllic Jackson Hole.
They wed with the Teton Mountains serving at the perfect backdrop, and Sarah was the ultimate summer bride, donning a strapless J.Crew wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline and a delicate flower crown on her head.
“You hear people talk about cold feet, but there was never a moment of doubt with Sarah because no one makes me happier, no one makes me laugh more, and I can’t imagine a better mother for our future children,” Eric told.
Growing the family
In 2013 the pair welcomed their first son together, Wyatt Olsen, who is now 11.
The spitting image of his father, Wyatt is a doting older brother to his younger sisters, Esme and Winter.
Esme, now nine, was born in 2016, and Winter, five, was born in 2020.
The actress took to the caption to explain their emotional journey to becoming parents a third time over, detailing the difficulty of her pregnancy and the deep desire for their third child.
On Winter’s third birthday Sarah shared with fans that she was their “rainbow baby,” whose name was chosen by the whole family.
“This is 3,” she wrote on social media. “Tonight I told her that she was magical and she said, ‘I know I have my powers.’ She’s our rainbow baby.”
Sarah added: “We thought about her, prayed for her, dreamt of her for so long. We wrote names on a lil chalk board and we voted on them… we couldn’t wait for her special day. It’s a pregnancy and a birth I will carry with me always.
Baby makes six
The family are super close and ahead of ther birth of their fourth baby, Sarah and Eric took their kids along with them on a mini baby-moon to Oxnard, a town between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, by Ventura.
Sharing pictures from the getaway, Sarah revealed that her youngest Winter had taken one of the gorgeous snaps highlighting moms’ baby bump as she wore a checkered mini dress paired with a denim jacket.
Challenging 2025
With a new baby on the way and life having thrown some recent challenges his family’s way.
“I have the most amazing partner, and I couldn’t be happier to be doing this with her,” Eric told of baby number four, adding: “She is the best, and I don’t know if you saw but Teresa [Palmer] just announced she’s pregnant too and watching Sarah react to Teresa telling her that she was pregnant… I was crying watching her cry.”
The moment was captured on their popular podcast Mother Daze, which Sarah co-hosts with her best friend Teresa Palmer.
The news comes after their Malibu home of 13 years was destroyed in the devastating wildfires that swept through Los Angeles in January 2025.
“We were living with my brother for a while, and some friends in Santa Barbara, and now we’ve found a new place and we’re doing good.”
