‘Hilarious’ Netflix Christmas Film With 90210 Star Hailed as the Best of the Year md14

A brand-new festive release is winning over Netflix viewers, earning “10 out of 10” ratings and being affectionately dubbed “Mrs Doubtfire at Christmas.”

Netflix’s seasonal lineup already includes classics like The Holiday and Diane Keaton’s The Family Stone, plus fresh additions such as Champagne Problems and Jingle Bell Heist. But the movie stealing the spotlight is My Secret Santa, which has rocketed to Netflix’s number-one most-watched film.

The film stars Virgin River favourite Alexandra Breckenridge as Taylor, a single mum who—after being made redundant—disguises herself as an elderly man to land a job as a ski resort Santa. Her new identity gets complicated when she starts falling for the resort owner’s son, Matthew Layne, played by Ryan Eggold of New Amsterdam and 90210 fame.

Fans have flooded X and IMDb with glowing reviews, calling the film “fresh,” “adorable,” and “hilarious.” One viewer enthused: “Best Christmas movie this year. I’ll watch it over and over. Alexandra was awesome.” Another called it a “must-watch,” while others praised its “wonderful music” and “great casting.”

Several even compared Breckenridge’s undercover performance to Robin Williams’ iconic turn in Mrs Doubtfire, praising her believable Santa transformation. The film also features Tia Mowry (Sister, Sister, Family Reunion) in a supporting role.

My Secret Santa is now streaming on Netflix.
