Hasbro Unveils Star Wars: The Black Series Figures for Thrawn, Clone Trooper & Droideka
Exclusive: Hasbro has revealed new figures for Star Wars: The Black Series, including one for Grand Admiral Thrawn as seen in Ahsoka.
The Black Series line gets new Star Wars figures from Hasbro.
Per Hasbro, three new figures have just been unveiled. Among them is the Star Wars:The Black Series Droideka Destroyer Druid. Inspired by the droid’s appearance in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, the figure comes complete with twin blasters, with the figure’s description noting, “Droideka are destroyer droids designed with one goal in mind: annihilation. The first of its kind in a unique droid form factor for The Black Series, this Droideka Destroyer Droid figure can be posed standing on its three legs or in its protective globe form.

Also revealed is the Star Wars: The Black Series Grand Admiral Thrawn figure. Bearing his likeness from Star Wars: Ahsoka, the Thrawn figure comes with a blaster accessory with premium detail and multiple points of articulation. The figure’s official listing description teases, “The last Grand Admiral of the Imperial Navy unaccounted for, Thrawn is a brilliant military commander. Should he return to the galaxy, he has the potential to plunge the New Republic into war once again.”
Also announced is the Star Wars: The Black Series Phase I Clone Trooper, inspired by the character’s appearance in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. “In the beginning phases of the Clone Wars, the introduction of white-armored clone troopers in the Republic’s Grand Army represented the future of galactic warfare,” as noted by the product description. Coming with premium detail, the fully-articulated figure comes with a removable helmet along with two blasters.

The Droideka Destroyer Druid figure will be available in Summer 2024 with a suggested retail price of $33.99. Grand Admiral Thrawn and the Phase I Clone Trooper will both be available in Spring 2024, each costing $24.99. All three figures can be pre-ordered starting on Jan. 24 at 1pm ET at Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, BigBadToyStore, Entertainment Earth, and other retailers.
Star Wars: The Black Series Continues Its Reign
Hasbro’s Black Series line of Star Wars figures dates back further than a decade, with its first wave debuting in 2013. Many collectible figures have been released for the line over the past decade, though it has also included other Star Wars products, such as high-quality reproductions of Force FX lightsabers. Fan favorites like Luke Skywalker have been given their figures, but some of the more recent releases have been giving the treatment to other franchise characters, such as the Wookiee bounty hunter Krrsantan.
