Gordon Ramsay is one proud father as his daughter Tilly flies the nest and follows in her dad’s footsteps into the world of cooking.
The 23-year-old is heading off to culinary school and, given her family connection, it’s easy to imagine that she might lean on her dad for some pointers – but that’s not the case.
It’s also easy to assume that Gordon would be footing the bill for her culinary course, but that’s not so either says the chef.

‘Tilly is the first one [of my children] who’s interested in cooking. She paid for herself – worked, saved the money and has gone off to culinary school,’ he proudly told Closer UK.
The chuffed chef was thrilled that Tilly was so independent and didn’t want to resort to relying on his help, but did wonder if he should have intervened and stepped in to give her a helping hand before she started school.
He recalled how: ‘I said goodbye and put her on the ferry and I thought “F***, why didn’t she ask me to teach her?’

‘Is that my first major f*** up? I can’t wait to ask that question, but it just goes to show how unspoiled my kids are.’
As well as Tilly, Gordon shares daughters Megan, 27, Holly Anna, 25, and sons Jack, 25, Oscar, six and Jesse, one, with his wife Tana.

Tilly previously found herself in the spotlight when she competed in Strictly Come Dancing at just 19 years of age.
Megan, meanwhile, studied for a degree in Psychology, while Holly Anna launched the 21 & Over podcast and her twin, Jack, joined the Royal Marines.
Gordon said of his older children: ‘They’re individually following their own path and aren’t dependent on their parents. I think that’s a good call.’
