Celebrity chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay will open a new British gastropub at Downtown Disney. Gordon Ramsay at the Carnaby will bring a taste of 1960s London to Anaheim — Britpop craze and all — with a lineup of classic dishes from across the pond. There is no timeline for opening yet.
Set atop Earl of Sandwich, the Carnaby will serve Ramsay’s famous beef Wellington — a favorite at his Las Vegas restaurant Hell’s Kitchen — alongside fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding. The restaurant will have a full liquor license and plans to serve cocktails, wine, and beer. The Carnaby’s expansive space will seat 175 people across the bar, outdoor terrace, and main room with plush booths and concert posters on the walls. In the evenings, the Carnaby will host live music with bands playing 1960s favorites.
The Carnaby will join a new slate of restaurants at the Downtown Disney District, including a massive outpost of Din Tai Fung and chef Carlos Gaytán’s Mexican restaurant, Paseo. Now, after a day in the park and a few drinks at Oga’s Cantina, Disney fans can end their night with a trip back to the 1960s, and, hopefully, no Kitchen Nightmares.
