And he got hands on fairly quickly too
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has been spotted enjoying one of the most popular tourist attractions in Galway.
The Hells Kitchen star is currently filming the National Geographic series, Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted, and took in the sights and sounds of Inis Oirr, the smallest of the Aran Islands.
Gordon was all smiles as he hopped aboard Doolin Ferry, Ireland’s largest passenger ferry operator. Gordon was only too happy to pose for photos with excited locals after word of his visit spread.
Liam O’Brien, owner of Doolin Ferry, was delighted to have the celebrity chef aboard saying it brought a “buzz of excitement” to the voyage.
“Having Gordon on board brought a buzz of excitement for us all. He was incredibly personable, chatting with the crew and posing for photographs. He even took the wheel of the ferry for a moment, fully immersed in the experience.” We’re eagerly awaiting his upcoming cookery show, knowing that it will captivate audiences, not only for Gordon’s delicious culinary creations but also for showcasing the stunning landscape of the west coast of Ireland,” Liam said.
It’s not the first time Ramsay has been spotted in Galway enjoying the sights and sounds in October of last year. One local managed to get some footage of Ramsay, and in the process, a hilarious interaction with the head honcho of Hells Kitchen.
The chef was spotted jogging through the city with what looked like two assistants or film crew with him. He had been filming a new series of Next Level Chef in the months previous, so it may very well be connected. One local who was driving down the street couldn’t help but say a cheeky hello and thankfully uploaded the full video to Instagram.
He couldn’t hide his excitement when he realised that it was in fact the famous chef, saying: “Gordon Ramsay I swear on my life look Gordon Ramsay. From there the driver decided to give him a little nickname, calling him “Ramsdog” before letting out a “no way” when Ramsay smiled and looked at him.
