Fans flooded to the comments to praise his fishing abilities including adventurer Bear Grylls who simply posted a shocked emoji below the snaps.
The television chef has been enjoying a week away in Iceland and taking advantage of the culinary scene in Reykjavik.
Gordon enjoyed a meal at Oto Restaurant and posed with the team in the kitchen in a picture shared to his Instagram Story on Monday after praising the Italian-Japanese fusion cuisine.
He wrote: An amazing meal with the team @otorestaurant!! Some of the best food in Reykjavik!!’ as he posed dressed in a black t-shirt and black leather jacket with his arms around two of the chefs.

While Gordan has been enjoying his getaway to Iceland, his daughter Holly has been pool-side supporting his boyfriend, Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty who won silver in the 100m Breaststroke final on Sunday.
The influencer gushed over the swimmer on Monday after he finished in second place.
The daughter of the famous TV chef , 24, took to Instagram to tell fans just how much he means to her and their family.
Holly shared a series of loved-up snaps with Adam following the race, and said she is ‘in awe of him’ and ‘could not be prouder’.
Holly wrote: ‘These pictures say it all. You are our world and I could not have been prouder of you last night. What you have accomplished is truly incredible. I am totally in awe of you and your faith.
‘It’s impossible to describe the sacrifices that you have made to get here, and for it to be your third games, that takes so much.
‘Getting here has been a journey and I am so thankful to be part of your team. @adam_peaty & @melmarshallmassive you are a force to be reckoned with⭐️ Congratulations to you both.’
‘To think that when we first met 15 months ago, you weren’t in the pool. Watching you get back into the water and fall in love with your gift again has been the most inspiring journey.
It comes after Adam’s ex girlfriend Eirianedd Munro shared a sweet supportive message after the swimmer won a silver medal at the Paris Olympics on Sunday night.
She was watching the event at home as Italian underdog Nicolo Martinenghi beat Adam, 29, in the 100m Breaststroke final by just 0.02 seconds.
And while Eiri – who split from the swimmer in 2022 – wasn’t in Paris she took to Instagram with a kind message saying George was ‘so proud of him’.
She wrote: ‘Congratulations, Adam. George is so proud of you! He doesn’t see the worth of a medal, but the absolute strength and determination that got you it.’
‘These are the qualities I pray he inherits. This moment will inspire him and drive him for the rest of his life. Thank you for giving him that.’
While Holly and Gordon have been jet-setting, the rest of the Ramsay clan have been settling back into normal life after moving back in to the family home in Wandsworth.
The £7million mansion had undergone two years of extensive renovations but at the end of May, the celebrity chef and his wife Tana, 49, were spotted returning to the south London pad.
During renovations it was said that Gordan and his wife were staying at a luxury flat in the new Battersea Power Station development costing about £12,000 a month with their youngest children, Oscar, 5, and Jesse James, eight months.
