
Gordon Ramsay is back with a brand-new reality TV show where the beloved chef will expose some truly filthy restaurants.
The celebrity chef will serve as an executive producer on the show alongside Lisa Edwards and Morgan Roberts. James Callum, the series director, is also part of the production, and food expert Jesse Burgess has signed on as host. But what can viewers expect to see?
Gordon Ramsay’s Production Company Announces A New Cooking Show
The series will have exclusive Michelin Guide access, allowing viewers to understand better the process of being awarded the prestigious culinary award known as the Michelin Star and the work it takes to achieve one. The synopsis for the show states: “Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars follows the fates of elite chefs at some of the world’s most unique and celebrated restaurants to determine if they will win, maintain, or lose that precious Star. From attempting to gain their first, tirelessly working to secure their distinction, or striving to gain a second or an elusive third star – each chef faces a deeply personal challenge.”

The series will follow chefs from multiple cities, including London, Los Angeles, Copenhagen, and Mexico City. Awarding a star is a complicated process, and the award does not come easily. The synopsis reveals that the inspectors will “use false identities and phone numbers to dine anonymously.”

Ramsay has also shared his thoughts on his latest project. “As a chef, the pursuit for perfection is everything, and you cannot underestimate the unbelievable drive and ambition, the determination and sacrifice these chefs are going through day in and day out, chasing the dream of acknowledgment from The Michelin Guide,” he said in a statement, per Parade.
Ramsay is familiar with the Michelin Star process. His restaurants worldwide currently hold eight, and he has been awarded 17.
