Lucky Cat and Bread Street Kitchen will open at the top of 22 Bishopsgate
You know what they say, food just tastes better at 269 metres above the ground. Okay, maybe it’s not a well-known phrase, but it’s probably true, especially if that food is cooked by Gordon Ramsay.
We’ve got exciting news, because the famously sweary chef is opening the UK’s highest restaurant in London. Ramsay will launch two restaurants and a cooking school 60 storeys in the air at 22 Bishopsgate, the City’s tallest skyscraper, next February.
Gordon Ramsay will ascend from the depths of Hell’s Kitchen to take over the top floors of the 912-foot-high office block near Liverpool Street station. Lucky Cat, Bread Street Kitchen and the Gordon Ramsay Academy will will occupy floors 58M, 59, 60 and 61 and will sit above Horizon 22, the recently opened free public viewing gallery. His sky-high culinary offering will include a roof terrace with a cocktail bar that opens until 3am and a private dining concept.
The Asian-inspired Lucky Cat at 22 Bishopsgate will snatch the title of Britain’s highest restaurant from Duck and Waffle, which sits on the 40th floor of the Salesforce tower just down the road. On the floor below will be a new branch of the Bread Street Kitchen & Bar chain, while the culinary academy will teach budding chefs ‘everything from pasta-making to mixology’.
Bookings for the new restos will open from September.
