Gordon Ramsay back in Nottingham – and this time he says Iberico World Tapas is ‘delicious’

The family were celebrating daughter’s Tilly graduation

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay thrilled staff at Nottingham restaurant Iberico World Tapas when he turned up for a celebratory meal with his family. The occasion was his daughter Tilly’s graduation from the University of Nottingham.

The TV star used his favourite sweary adjective to say the food was “delicious” at the restaurant that serves tapas with a global influence. The party of five, including Gordon’s wife Tana, dined on dishes including Catalan bread, padron peppers, inside-out chicken wings, tuna takaki and churros and they drank Rioja and tequila.

“We are really happy that he choose Iberico for his daughter’s graduation celebration. It was an honour for us to cook for him and his family on such an important occasion,” said Dan Lindsay, co-owner of the popular restaurant hidden beneath the old Shire Hall in the Lace Market’s High Pavement.

Dan added: “His wife Tana really liked the chicken wings and Gordon said used his famous F-word to say the food was delicious.”

Tilly, 22-year-old, a former contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021, graduated with a BSc Psychology degree earlier this week. Gordon posted on Instagram: “She’s done it! Can’t explain enough how proud we are of this one honestly with everything you’ve been up against and to see you graduate today with a psychology BSc makes me the happiest Dad in the World congratulations darling well done.”
