Golden Bachelor’s Theresa Nist shares watching Gerry’s antics made her ‘cry her eyes out’
Theresa Nist is sharing what about the Golden Bachelor made her emotional and what made her “cry her eyes out.”
They are set to marry in just over a week’s time, but that doesn’t mean things have always been easy for Golden Bachelor’s Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner.
In fact, though they’ve actually been engaged since the summer, the pair was unable to go public until after the final episode in November–and they’ve also had to watch things back.
In addition to dealing with other stressors from outside the show–like meaningful lies that were told and questions over where the couple would live–having to re-watch the emotional episodes brought emotions to a head.
Theresa had previously shared on Instagram that watching the episodes where she butted heads with Kathy Swarts were difficult, but it wasn’t known how she felt watching Gerry’s tougher moments.
Now, she has opened up about the stress.
Appearing with Gerry on Live With Kelly and Mark, Theresa admits that the biggest challenge was watching things back–specifically as she saw her co-stars’ emotions.
The final episodes in particular, where Gerry made his toughest eliminations before choosing her, were the hardest, and she admitted watching second-runner-up Faith Martin cried after her hometown elimination was gut-wrenching.
“I really haven’t seen the final episode yet, so I’ve yet to see Leslie and that was a really difficult moment for me,” she admitted.
“I cried my eyes out that night,” she added.
Still, despite the hard struggle watching things over, the couple is still moving ahead and planning on the rest of their lives together.
Not only are they set to get married live on ABC on January 4, but they are also looking towards the future beyond that.
The pair are considering putting down roots in either Charleston, South Carolina, or in Theresa’s native New Jersey.
