Golden Bachelorette’s Chock Chapple Has It All in Wichita—But Will He Give It Up for Joan?

The Golden Bachelorette star Chock Chapple, 61, seems totally bewitched by his willowy blonde fiancée, Joan Vassos, 62, but he’s not ready to leave Wichita, where he’s got a very cozy nest. Chock’s a successful entrepreneur with a thriving company, Insurance Services Group, and his Kansas kingdom is filled with creature comforts. He’s even got a man cave made from a storage unit. Chock has put down roots in Wichita, just like Joan has in Rockville, Maryland.

The two are trying to keep their relationship alive while living in three different places – Wichita, Rockville and New York City. Hopefully, the pressure won’t be too much.

Chock’s all in with Joan – in fact, Pascal Ibgui thought he was too possessive on The Golden Bachelorette season 1. While Pascal seemed disturbed by Chock, and even called him a “stalker,” Pascal (a bold hairdresser from France) later apologized, which was fitting. Chock’s not a stalker, but he is a man who wants his woman by his side most of the time. There’s just one catch – despite his burning passion for Joan, he just can’t bring himself to move to her city, Rockville. That’s because he’s got it so good in Wichita.

Chock Made A Custom Man Cave Out Of A Storage Locker
He’s Got A Great Life In Wichita

Chock, a humble Virgo man who has plenty to brag about, but doesn’t toot his own horn very often, has a softer side that’s really appealing. Also, he dresses impeccably, has good manners and knows how to sell himself. He’s also selling a special part of Kansas. He went out of his way to extoll the virtues of Wichita. In the Instagram clip shown above, Chock clearly has so much love for his hometown. Chock said:

“It’s a great city, a great place to live…it’s great people, great foundation and I really enjoy it,”

Since he loves the “people,” it’s not surprising that Chock built a double-decker man cave that’s all tricked out. It’s the perfect place for Chock and his pals to kick back and relax. As per U.S. Sun, the man cave is a storage locker with some exciting modifications. It’s probably Chock’s sanctuary – a place where he can escape and play. The publication reported:

In 2022, Chock seemed to have taken on a hefty project when he converted a storage unit into his very own man cave.

After purchasing the Wichita unit in the middle of an industrial complex for $200k, Chock now hosts gatherings for his buddies – which he has documented on Instagram.

The duel-level unit has a mezzanine terrace, full bathroom, wet bar and built-in storage as well as being temperature-controlled with A/C and heat.

Pictures show a card game table surrounded by a dozen leather chairs in front of sliding barn doors that separate the space.

The pieces of the mosaic that is Chock’s life in Wichita paint a pretty picture indeed,

Chock’s Got A Fancy House & Boat

He’s got two upscale homes, a couple of boats, and a man cave that would impress almost anyone. In his Instagram chat, Chock complained about traveling, and no wonder. Who would want to leave all of that splendor and comfort? He probably travels for Joan, to please her, but maybe he’d rather Joan moved to Wichita. If she did, he could enjoy the life he’s created with his reality queen by his side. That would probably make him very happy.

Will Chock Ever Move For Joan?
Chock’s Trying To Make His Relationship Work

Chock appears to really love Joan. They’re quite sweet together. Their relationship doesn’t feel totally “showbiz” – there’s something down-home about Chock that makes it easy to believe in him… an old-school quality that’s charming. Also, Joan’s quite a classy and sophisticated woman – although she snapped at Chock when he didn’t do a good enough job of inserting garlic cloves into a pork shoulder, she’s also gushed about him, showing off her diamond ring, and praising him for fixing her closet.

Chock is willing to do a lot to keep Joan happy, from spending time in Rockville, to hunting for a “Joan and Chock love shack” in the Big Apple. So, there is really hope that this duo will make it. However, there may be a part of The Golden Bachelorette’s Chock Chapple that wants to stop packing and unpacking suitcases. He may wish he could carry Joan over the threshold in Wichita and keep her there, rather than racking up the frequent flier miles all the time. So, no, he probably won’t move for Joan, no matter what.

Fans can stream The Golden Bachelorette on the Hulu platform.
