‘Golden Bachelorette’ runner-up Guy Gansert dances for a crowd at Nevada basketball game

With no news on who could be the next “Golden Bachelor,” Reno’s most famous doctor, Guy Gansert, looked as if he was auditioning for “Dancing with the Stars.”

Gansert, who has refused interviews since coming in second on the ABC dating show “Golden Bachelorette,” seems to be enjoying his fame.

He danced for a crowd with the University of Nevada, Reno cheer team Wednesday. Gansert was all smiles as he swung his arms and moved his feet to “Shout” in Lawlor Events Center.

In the first season of the “Golden Bachelorette,” Gansert declared his love for Joan Vassos, telling his grown children he would marry her if given the opportunity. But Vassos dumped Gansert, leaving him crying in the rain in Bora Bora.

Vassos is now engaged to Chock Chapple from Kansas.

On social media, Gansert still called his experience on the show ‘transformational.” He also said he would be honored to be chosen the next golden bachelor.
