The Golden Bachelor isn’t quite ready to give love another chance, but he already knows what he’s looking for. Gerry Turner is getting offers from plenty of ladies online
The 72-year-old originally proposed to Theresa Nist on the show before going through with a luxurious on-camera wedding. Unfortunately, the couple didn’t last and called it quits after only a few months. Now that Gerry escape that wild ride, reports say he is still taking time to himself before jumping back into the dating pool.
It turns out that Gerry even has plenty of options thanks to his social media boost from the show. Women are practically throwing themselves at the reality star, sliding in his DMs in droves.
However, he told TMZ that a relationship just isn’t on the table for him right now. Plus, he confessed that he’s getting hit on in public, too, including a particular incident at a winery. When the ladies hand him their numbers, Gerry holds onto them, but hasn’t actually hit anyone up afterwards.
Gerry also warned that he gets nervous when someone approaches him first. It might be a bit of a turn off as it makes him a bit wary, though, he appreciates their boldness.
While he’s currently taking some time for himself, Gerry isn’t planning on being single forever. In fact, the Golden Bachelor even put some thought into what he’ll be looking for when the time comes. His top concern is someone who is on the same wave length as him when it comes to adventures like traveling.
After being in a long distance relationship with Theresa, Gerry is looking for someone who’s living a little bit closer to his home in Indiana. After all, the distance was definitely a contributing factor to his split from Theresa, so he’s hoping to eliminate those sort of issues moving forward in his romantic life.
In the future, Gerry is looking to find ‘the one’ in a much more organic way. He’ll be opting out of dating apps as he’s given them a shot and would prefer to stay off the websites. Whether or not this would include avoiding more reality dating shows, he didn’t specify.
