The Golden Bachelor fans were left stunned after Gerry Turner shared a smiling selfie with his 93-year-old father.
He’s been keeping busy with new wife Theresa Nist after the popular ABC show wrapped earlier this month. Sharing updates on social media, the 72-year-old has been keeping his 156,000 followers up to date with his life after recent reality TV stardom.
In a recent upload, Gerry told fans he was out buying a brand-new car after his rapid rise to fame, clearly enjoying his new-found TV celebrity status. While making his purchase, he was joined by his elderly dad, and fans can’t believe how amazing he looks.
“I picked up a new BMW in Fort Wayne on Saturday and that was a thrill. But the biggest thrill was that my dad (who is 93yrs old) showed up to share in the fun. Love you dad,” Gerry wrote in his post’s caption, posing alongside his old man for the sweet selfie.
Fans flocked to the comments section, all saying the same thing. They couldn’t believe how youthful Gerry’s father was, being 93. One wrote: “Okay okay now I get it. Your looks are from your handsome dad all makes sense to me now.”
While another added: “Wow! You’ve got GOOD genes! Your dad looks AMAZING!” Another view penned: “Where was this man the whole season.” While someone else said: “New car new wife whos got the money”, making reference to The Golden Bachelor.
It comes after Gerry had the perfect response for a cruel troll who said his “injections will fade” after his “glam has disappeared”. He has been busy keeping fans updated on his new life with wife Theresa and took to Instagram on Sunday to share a sweet snap with his beloved as they enjoyed a “family adventure”. The loved-up couple smiled for the camera, with Theresa leaning in close to Gerry’s chest.
While many fans were praising the pair, one person wasn’t happy with the snap. “All the glam has disappeared from him.. Hess going to go back to grey and his injections will fade,” the troll wrote but Gerry wasn’t about to let it go.
In response, he sarcastically wrote: “This why I love the comments.
