Steve Burton is a married man once again! The General Hospital veteran tied the knot with Barbeque Showdown star Michelle Lundstrom on May 17 in Laguna Beach, California.
After they started dating in 2024, the soap star and Lundstrom got engaged on January 3, 2025. “We didn’t want to wait to become husband and wife,” Lundstrom told People about their surprise wedding.
The couple said “I do” in an Orthodox church ceremony, with only family in attendance. They held their reception at Montage Laguna Beach, where they were joined by 45 of their closest friends and family. Lundstrom stunned in a custom, strapless couture gown by Lee Petra Grebenau.
Burton’s General Hospital costar Jonathan Jackson, as well as his wife, Lisa Vultaggio, were in the wedding party.
“This day isn’t just about a ceremony,” Burton said. “It’s the beginning of forever with the love of my life.” The couple made sure to incorporate their blended family into the ceremony. Lundstrom’s two daughters, Lilah and Hannah, were in the wedding party along with Burton’s three children, Makena, Brooklyn, and Jack.
“Honestly, I’ve never felt so loved and cared for in my entire life,” the actor gushed. “I’m incredibly grateful to have her by my side. She is the most amazing, beautiful, and selfless woman I’ve ever known. I love her so much.”
When the newlyweds shared the news of their nuptials on Instagram, many of Burton’s GH costars sent their well wishes in the comments. “YES BROTHER,” Maurice Benard, aka Sonny Corinthos, wrote. Finola Hughes, who plays Anna Devane, commented, “Best news!!! You both are beautiful, inside and out!! Congratulations.” Bradford Anderson, who plays Spinelli and cohosts The Daily Drama podcast with Burton, added heart and hand-clapping emojis.
Burton was previously married to Sheree Burton. They were together for 23 years before they split in 2022.
