Chicago Fire Season 13 has debuted with two pretty intense episodes so far; the first, “A Monster in the Field,” aired on September 25, and the second, “Ride the Blade,” debuted just last night. The next episode will air on October 9, and fans can get a glimpse of what’s to come thanks to a newly released promo that teases “all kinds of craziness” to come, which, in fact, describes its title in detail.
In the trailer for Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 3, titled “All Kinds of Crazy,” a fire scene shows a firefighter being blown out of a window when Chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) orders an evacuation. While it seems like the chief’s call may have come too late, fans will have to find out when the episode premieres. There’s also a demotion scene in the new episode, as the promo shows Pascal telling someone, “You broke my trust” and “I’m firing you from this fire department.” Unsurprisingly, the person being spoken to remains unknown, leaving viewers even more intrigued.
In the trailer for Episode 3, the main plot is described as “Severide and Van Meter investigate a fire at a family-owned restaurant” while “Pascal questions Kidd’s leadership.” Pascal’s reticence isn’t surprising, as he and Kidd have been at odds ever since he took over Wallace Boden’s (Eamonn Walker) office. A big change is sure to come in the episode “All Kinds of Crazy.” Tune in next Wednesday and check out the trailer for the episode below!
About a week ago, Chicago Fire showrunner Andrea Newman detailed the new season, describing it as a haunted house drama, although the team initially considered it “Lucky 13 or Spooky 13.” Speaking of hauntings, Season 13 teases an atmosphere of ghosts from the past hanging around and visiting the characters, which Newman elaborated on, saying, “It’s the shadow of Boden hanging over the fire station, and Severide always has the shadow of [his father] Benny hanging over him. Finding this brother in this relationship with his half-brother Jack Damon really reminds us of that shadow. We have Carver with ghosts from his past. Now, Cruz is also going to be haunted by a ghost from his past this season. So we have a lot of spooky, creepy events happening this year.”
