Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is bringing his iconic Hell’s Kitchen restaurant to Canada for the first time, landing in Edmonton. The high-energy, globally renowned dining experience will open at the River Cree Resort and Casino in Enoch Cree Nation in late 2025.
This is the first-ever Canadian location for Hell’s Kitchen, a restaurant brand inspired by the hit television series of the same name. Known for its fiery red and blue kitchen teams, signature dishes, and dramatic flair, Hell’s Kitchen promises a dining experience filled with intensity, flavor, and theatrical presentation.
The announcement was made by the River Cree Resort and Casino, which will house the restaurant as part of its ongoing expansion. The venue, located just west of Edmonton, will undergo renovations to accommodate the new dining destination. This addition is expected to become a major attraction for locals and tourists.
Gordon Ramsay himself expressed excitement over the venture. “Bringing Hell’s Kitchen to Canada is an incredible milestone,” Ramsay said. “Edmonton is the perfect city to launch, with a thriving food scene and an appetite for world-class culinary experiences.”
Hell’s Kitchen Edmonton will showcase a menu that fans of the show will recognize, including the famed Beef Wellington, lobster risotto, crispy skin salmon, and sticky toffee pudding.
The restaurant will also feature a contemporary design that mirrors other Hell’s Kitchen locations in Las Vegas, Miami, and Dubai, with dramatic open kitchens, sleek interiors, and prominently displayed iconic pitchfork logo.
The decision to open the first Canadian Hell’s Kitchen in Edmonton, rather than larger metropolitan areas like Toronto or Vancouver, is seen as a bold and strategic move. Officials from the River Cree Resort said this reflects their commitment to bringing premium entertainment and hospitality experiences to Alberta.

Construction is expected to begin later this year, with the grand opening slated for fall 2025. The restaurant is anticipated to create new jobs and attract significant foot traffic to the area.
