Fans of “Chicago Fire” have just one more day until they’re reunited with their favorite first responders.
Now in its 14th season, “Chicago Fire” is just one-third of NBC Universal’s “One Chicago” trifecta, a collection of shows set in the Windy City and filmed primarily there. Other shows in the collection include “Chicago Med” and “Chicago P.D.”
“Chicago Fire” showrunner Andrea Newman said in a statement to USA TODAY on Jan. 6 that the show “will continue to bring the heat, both in romance, and in big fire rescues.”
While viewers may continue to see familiar romances play out, other new relationships may take the forefront.
“Tune in to find out,” Newman said in the statement. “Chicago Fire this season is guaranteed to deliver more twists and turns, and its fair share of surprises.”
“Chicago Fire” stars veteran actor Dermot Mulroney as Chief Dom Pascal, Taylor Kinney as Fire Lt. Kelly Severide, as well as Miranda Rae Mayo as Fire Lt. Stella Kidd and Brandon Larracuente as newbie crew member and Firefighter Sal Vasquez.
This season premiered Oct. 1 and so far, writers have taken viewers along with the crew as they battle fires, treating patients in the midst of traffic jams and budget cuts that make saving community members even more difficult.

What time does ‘Chicago Fire’ come back?
The series is making a comeback at 9 p.m. ET and 8 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Jan. 7 on NBC. New episodes will be added to Peacock the following day.
Where to watch Season 14 of ‘Chicago Fire’
The show will air on NBC on Wednesdays and then on Thursdays, the episodes will be shared to Peacock for streaming. Episodes will be posted at 6 a.m. ET on Thursdays on Peacock, NBC Universal confirmed to USA TODAY this week.
