General Hospital fans pointed out Carly’s hypocrisy when speaking to Lulu compared it to Jeffrey Dahmer.
Carly and Lulu continue their conversation on Monday’s episode. Lulu revealed she thinks she knows who Brook Lynn and Dante’s son is on Tuesday’s episode of the ABC daytime drama. She told Carly she believes Gio is their child and stated it was because of the way Lois acted and what she said when Dante was angrily reprimanding Gio for Rocco getting alcohol poisoning.
Lulu stated that she needed to tell Dante the truth. Carly asked her if she considered Gio’s feelings and that his life would be turned upside down with this truth. Carly added that revealing this truth means Gio will learn that everyone he’s ever known has lied to him.Lulu argued that it would be better for Gio to learn the truth than live a lie. Carly threw back that Lulu was making the issue about herself once more by trying to playing “God’ by deciding what’s best for anyone.
Carly’s decision to try to speak some sense into Lulu surprised some fans and had others calling her out as Carly’s past actions have rivaled what Lulu is trying to do. On General Hospital subreddit for Tuesday’s (May 13) episode, fans expressed that surprise but as well as hypocrisy.
One fan wrote, referring to notorious serial killer Dahmer: “Carly lecturing someone about playing God with other people’s lives is like Dahmer lecturing people on their eating habits.” A second fans said: “If CARLY is telling you you’re f—ing up, you need to just go away for a while and regroup.”
Another expressed a similar sentiment: “That moment when Carly becomes the voice of reason.”
Near the end of the episode, Carly did seemed to budge a bit after she told Lulu it was none her of her business and it wasn’t her secret to tell.
She also advised Lulu to make sure to have proof about Gio or it will blow up in her face and also not tell tell anyone until she can back it up.
This came after Lulu mentioned that Sonny’s relationship with Gio proves that Gio is Dante’s kid. She stated that Lois probably let Sonny finance Gio’s education because Sonny was Gio’s grandfather.
Carly mentioned how that and the whole situation was messed up. At first when Lulu had mentioned if Carly could keep this secret from Carly, Carly had said she would feel bad but she could keep it from him.
