From The Pitt to the Flames? Is Shawn Hatosy Heading to Fire Country

In a few weeks, Fire Country Season 4 will premiere. There are a lot of questions surrounding the upcoming season, particularly regarding the fate of Vince (Billy Burke) and Sharon (Diane Farr).

That’s not the only cast news that has fans talking, either. The Pitt star Shawn Hatosy was spotted on the Fire Country set, and his outfit gave away a major clue about why he was there.

Is The Pitt Star Shawn Hatosy Joining Fire Country?

One fan on X shared a couple of photos and videos that featured Hatosy decked out in Cal Fire attire. The actor had the same smoldering look he does in most of his roles as he appeared to be filming an outside scene.

The same X user also shared a video of a game of catch happening at Station 42. Hatosy is featured along with Audry (Leven Rambin), who is getting direction as she catches and throws a medicine ball.

Neither Fire Country nor Hatosy has shared any comments about him joining the show. However, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, and it seems to be pointing at a big possibility that Hatosy will play some part (big or small) in Season 4 of the CBS hit series.

The photos of Hatosy working on Fire Country have only added to the fact that 2025 has been a breakout year for the actor.

Shawn Hatosy Finally Getting His Props

For decades, Hatosy has been showing off his stellar acting talent, working on various shows like Reckless, Southland, and Fear the Walking DeadAnimal Kingdom, though, really put Hatosy on the map thanks to his portrayal of Andrew Pope Cody.

This year alone, Hatosy has been everywhere. The actor was a key player on Chicago P.D. Season 12 as Deputy Chief Reid, a thorn in the side of Voight (Jason Beghe) and the rest of the Intelligence crew. Reid was killed in the season finale, ending Hatosy’s stint on the NBC show.

In the middle of his Chicago P.D. run, Hatosy also debuted as Dr. Jack Abbot in The Pitt. The character earned Hatosy his first-ever Emmy nomination.

There was also the resurgence of the 2016 drama, Animal Kingdom, due to the series now streaming on Netflix.

Everywhere we look, Hatosy is tapping into a complex character that we typically love to hate—and we’re eager to see more. Hatosy admitted in a Deadline interview that he looks for characters with layers, and even if they aren’t the most likable characters, he finds a way to love them.

Only time will tell who Hatosy may play on Fire Country, but based on his comments, fans should expect a complex character.
