“I sing out loud in the shower,” says Minka Kelly, who stars in the new romantic Western TV series Ransom Canyon on Netflix. “I have music playing in my house constantly, and I’m usually singing along. But only if the music is loud enough that you can’t really hear me.”

“I have these irrational fears that when something wonderful is happening, it’s going to be taken away from me,” admits the 44-year-old actress. “Some people in my life are like, ‘Mink, when are you going to let that fear go?’ And I’m like, ‘Why aren’t you preparing for the worst?’”

“I used to have one where I was suddenly submerged to the bottom of the ocean,” says the Friday Night Lights alum. Like an intense crash, but then once I’m at the bottom, I’m swimming among the whales and breathing. It’s very peaceful, and everything is okay.”

Tell Me Everything: A Memoir, published in 2023, is a tribute to Minka’s late mother and all working-class single mothers “who were dealt a bad hand.”
