Alberto Rosende may have left Firehouse 51 behind, but he’s just getting started in the next chapter of his career.
Best known to Chicago Fire fans as Blake Gallo — the bold and passionate young firefighter who joined the team in Season 8 — Rosende officially exited the series in 2024. His final scene was bittersweet, highlighting Gallo’s growth and his emotional decision to reconnect with family.
While Rosende kept quiet about his exit at first, he recently opened up in an interview with TV Insider, saying, “It was the right time. I loved Gallo, and I’ll always be grateful for the family I found at Chicago Fire. But as an actor, I knew I wanted to stretch myself in different directions.”
What’s next for the rising star? Rumors are swirling that Rosende is in talks to lead a new Netflix drama series and may also return to his musical roots — fans of his Shadowhunters days know he has serious vocal chops.
One thing’s for sure: Alberto Rosende isn’t done setting screens on fire. With his charisma and range, he’s poised for a major breakout.
