Fran Drescher feels like she ‘missed out’ on having kids
The Nanny sometimes wishes she had kids of her own.
“I think I would have been a good mom,” Fran Drescher recently told The Cut in a new interview, adding, “and sometimes I think I kind of missed out on that.”
The 62-year-old sitcom star underwent a hysterectomy after being diagnosed with uterine cancer in 2000.
“I’m not glad I had cancer. I don’t wish it on anyone. But I am better for it,” she told People in 2018. “It’s deepened me as a human being. It’s forced me to have a life that resonates more with other people’s needs, with compassion, and a sensitivity to other people’s pain.”
And her hysterectomy has had no effect on her sex drive. As Page Six previously revealed, Drescher currently has a friend with benefits.
“He comes over, we hang out and we do the hot tub and I make us some food and we lay in bed and maybe we’ll watch tennis together, whatever it is or a movie. We talk, we have good conversations,” she told us in January, adding, “Of course we have sex and it’s delightful and it keeps me going.”
She also has her ex-husband, who came out as gay but is still her best friend. “He fulfills a lot of needs,” she said of Peter Marc Jacobson, whom she divorced in 1999.
She was also previously married to Shiva Ayyadurai but they split in 2016.
“In my second marriage, we were together for three years,” she told The Cut of Addadurai. “The first year was bliss, the second year was agony and ecstasy, and the third year was just agony, and I said, ‘Enough.’”
