Fifty Shades Of Grey is one of the most-watched R-rated films of All Time. Starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan in lead, the film was a huge success and then became a successful franchise.

Fifty Shades is an erotic romance trilogy based on English author E. L. James’ series of the same name.

1) Fifty Shades Of Grey

The first part of the trilogy released in 2015 and took the world by storm. The film had its own share of controversies but it got thumbs up from the audience for the chemistry between the lead pair and the steamy scenes they shared.

At the worldwide box office, the Sam Taylor-Johnson directed film did a business of $570 million. The film proved to be 11th highest grosser of 2015.

2) Fifty Shades Darker

Two years later in 2017, the movie released as the 2nd part of the trilogy. This time James Foley came on board as the director and the film did a business of $382 million at the worldwide box office. Fifty Shades Darker was 25th highest grosser of 2015 and did better than films like xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Annabelle: Creation and others.

3) Fifty Shades Freed

The 3rd part of the trilogy released in 2018 and did well at the box office. Directed by James Foley again, the Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan starrer did a worldwide business of $372 million according to Box Office Mojo. It was among Top 25 films of that year.
