In a smaller capacity, FBI itself has gone through major facelifts, all starting when Tiffany left the force. Since then, Scola was left without a permanent partner, as CBS went through the process of introducing and then eventually writing out characters that could fill the void that Katherine Kane left. Juliana Aidén Martinez’s Eva Ramos is currently Scola’s partner. But as that aspect of his story stabilizes, another one gets chaotic.
In a new trailer for FBI season 8, episode 7 (via TV Promos/YouTube), the New York field office is seen tackling a case that is set in prison. That said, their plan doesn’t go accordingly, leaving Scola trapped inside the facility with criminals. At one point in the promotional clip, he is seen being beaten. Watch the full video below:
The episode, titled “Fadeout”, kicks off when a Brooklyn apartment complex is rocked by an explosion. Interestingly, the crime was set in motion by a convicted felon who is locked up in prison. That’s what brings Scola and the rest of the team to the penitentiary. What’s curious is if the mayhem during their visit is part of the culprit’s grand plan or if it’s purely a coincidence.
Beyond what’s happening with the case and Scola, FBI season 8, episode 7 will also force Isobel to make a major decision. After her near-death experience in the season 7 finale, she has been rewarded with a cushy promotion that is so well-deserved. That said, this takes her to choosing her successor. Ideally, it would be Jubal — something that she agrees with. However, office politics is raising doubts about it.
