The Bureau will be back.
There’s no shortage of hit TV series in the Dick Wolf universe, with the likes of Law & Order and the entire One Chicago franchise being the jewels in Wolf’s series creator crown.
Back in 2018, Wolf expanded his storytelling empire yet again with FBI, a crime drama focusing on the New York City field office division of the FBI.
It’s another hit of Wolf’s that has spawned more spin-offs in the forms of FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International.
There may be a lot of procedural shows to make your way through, but viewers simply cannot get enough of them, especially now that the new season of FBI is set to premiere in the US this week.
But when is it expected to air in the UK? And who will star in the new series? Well, that’s where we come in.

FBI season 6 release date
After some delays to the production of the sixth season after the SAG-AFTRA and the Writer’s Guild of America strikes, the release date for FBI season 6 has been confirmed.
FBI season 6 will premiere in the US on Tuesday 13th February 2024 on CBS at 8pm ET.
Typically, the series usually returns to US screens every Autumn, as it does every year.
As for when the series will air in the UK, there’s been no confirmed release date just yet. But we do know that the series will likely air on Sky Witness and NOW, as is the case with previous seasons of FBI.
FBI season 6 cast: Who could return?
It looks as though FBI fans have to prepare for some serious emotional fallout in the new season with a surprise main character death on the cards.
Speaking to TV Insider, Missy Peregrym warned: “We lose a family member.” Alana De La Garza also teased that it’s someone “close to home”.
Peregrym added: “The point is, it’s a very heavy episode about the risk of the jobs that we do and how much it affects us when things go the wrong way, and that’s how we start the season.”
That means we could definitely be set to lose one of the show’s main characters, with it currently being anyone’s guess as to who it could be.
For now, assuming that everything goes to plan, the following FBI cast members will all be back for season six:

It has also been confirmed that Shantel VanSanten, best known for her roles in The Flash and One Tree Hill, has joined the cast of FBI: Most Wanted for the show’s fifth season.
As for how that crossover into another spin-off series will impact her character’s arc in this new season of FBI, we’ll have to wait and see.
